Crows Feet Timber Sale (WA DNR)

Unit one of the Crows Feet timber sale (scheduled for 2028,) targets one of the best remaining sections of legacy forest on Dow Mountain near Lake Cushman in Mason County. There are trees in the forest over 5 feet in diameter and it is on its way to becoming a old-growth Douglas Fir ecosystem.

Hartstene Flats Timber Sales (WA DNR)

The Hartstene Flats Timber Sale in Mason County is a Legacy Forest up for logging on Washington State Department of Natural Resource Trust Lands. The forest re-generated from logging in the early 1900s and is now around 100 years old. It, and all other legacy forests like it deserve protection, to get involved visit wlfdc.org
